Philipp Peter Nimmermann (born January 2, 1966 in Berlin ) is a German economist and since January 2019 State Secretary in the Hessian Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy, Transport and Housing . Before that, he was State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance of Schleswig-Holstein since October 2014 . Philipp Nimmermann is a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen .

biography

After studying economics at the Goethe University Frankfurt in 1998, Philipp Nimmermann received his doctorate with a thesis on the taxation of international factor income . He was employed at BHF-Bank from 1999, where he went through a career up to becoming chief economist from 2013. From October 2014 to January 2019 he was State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance of Schleswig-Holstein .

In the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport and Housing , Philipp Nimmermann was appointed State Secretary to Minister Tarek Al-Wazir when the Bouffier III cabinet was formed on January 18, 2019 . In this ministry, as a colleague of Jens Deutschendorf, he took over responsibility for the economy, the Frankfurt financial center and internal organization.
