Gabriele Wachholtz

Gabriele Wachholtz (born May 2, 1949 in Bornhöved ) is a German entrepreneur and publisher .

Life

After graduating from the Klaus Groth School in Neumünster , she studied business administration at the University of Hamburg . In 1975 she graduated as a business graduate and started a traineeship for higher education at the Theodor Litt School in Neumünster. As a senior teacher, she quit public service in 1992. From 1994 she ran the family-owned Wachholtz Verlag as a publisher . During her time important works on regional studies a. a. the history of Schleswig-Holstein and the Schleswig-Holstein Lexicon. In 2012, the entrepreneurial family handed over the publishing house to Sven Murmann , Murmann Publisher. Wachholtz is heavily involved in the field of culture (e.g. Neumünster Water Tower ) and was awarded the Schleswig-Holstein Order of Merit in 2014. Gabriele Wachholtz is married to the publisher Uli Wachholtz . The couple has two grown children.
