Gabrijela Skender (born October 7, 1999 ) is a Croatian cross-country skier .

Career

Skender, who competes for TSK Ravnogorac, took part in the Balkan Cup for the first time in Mavrovo in February 2015 and finished ninth and eighth over 5 km freestyle. At the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer , she achieved 30th place in cross and 12th place in sprint, and at the 2016 Junior World Championships in Râșnov, 70th place over 5 km classic and 56th place in sprint. The following year she came in at the Junior World Championships in Soldier Hollow over 5 km classic and in the sprint to 52nd place and at the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2017 inErzurum to 20th place in the sprint and 17th place over 5 km classic. In January 2017 she achieved her first podium in the Balkan Cup in Gerede with second place over 5 km classic. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 2017 , she finished 67th in the sprint and 65th in the sprint at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang . At the end of January 2018 she finished 76th in the sprint and 75th place over 5 km classic at the Junior World Championships in Goms . The following year she ran at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld in Tyrol on 82nd place in the sprint and 80th place over 10 km classic.
