Player career

Beginnings

The native Congolese Gaby Mudingayi started his career in Belgium, where he played for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise from 1998 to 2000 . He then went to the Belgian first division club KAA Gent . There he played from 2000 to January 2004 and was used regularly. He then went to the Italian second division club Turin . After a year and a half and two missed promotions, he left the northern Italians in the summer of 2005 and went to Lazio Rome .

Lazio Rome

Mudingayi was also a regular at Lazio. He is one of the few dark-skinned players to have ever played for Lazio. Parts of Lazios supporters are assigned to the right-wing political camp and are considered xenophobic.

Bologna FC

Mudingayi joined the 2008-09 season for Bologna FC and signed a contract there until 30 June 2012. His first competitive game for Bologna denied it in the third round of the Coppa Italia against Vicenza Calcio .

Inter Milan

During the summer break of 2012, Mudingayi was loaned to Inter Milan . The Milanese were given an option to sign the midfielder permanently. His contract expired in summer 2014, since then the midfielder has been considered to be without a club.

National team

Gaby Mudingayi made 17 appearances for Belgium from 2003 to 2011 without scoring a goal.
