course

The stream rises north of the Oederaner district of Gahlenz in a small wood. Now drained, the miles sheets of Saxony record the source about 300 m to the northwest. Like the Kleinhartmannsdorfer Bach , which runs in parallel , the Gahlenz Bach flows off towards the southwest. At about 3 he flows through the forest hoof village Gahlenz, which was created along the stream. Approximately in the center of the village the Grundbach flows in from the left, which is part of the drainage of the Struth forest area . After about 6 km it flows into the Große Lößnitz.
