Gamba (circle)

Gamba ( Tibetan : གམ་ པ་ རྫོང་ , transcription after Wylie : gam pa rdzong, also Gampa Dzong ; Chinese  岗 巴 县 , Pinyin Gǎngbā Xiàn ) is a district in the south of the district-free city of Xigazê in the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China . In 1999 it had 9,090 inhabitants.

At the community level, the district consists of one large community and four communities . These are (official spelling / Chinese):

• Gamba municipality 岗 巴 镇
• Lungrong Township 隆 中 乡
• Kurme parish 孔 玛 乡
• Chig Parish 直 克 乡
• Changlung Municipality 昌 龙乡
