Nyalam
Nyalam ( Chinese 聂拉木 县 , Pinyin Nièlāmù Xiàn ; Tibetan གཉའ་ ལམ་ རྫོང་ , Wylie: gnya 'lam rdzong , also Nyalam Dzong ) is a district of the district-free city of Xigazê in the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China . In 1999 it had 14,073 inhabitants, at the end of 2010 around 20,000 inhabitants.

Infrastructure
The most important road is the Friendship Highway as part of National Road 318 . It connects Nyalam with Lhasa or via the Sino-Nepal Friendship Bridge on the border with Nepal with Kathmandu .

The county government is located in Nyalam Municipality (聂拉木 镇). The large community of Zham (樟木 镇Zhangmu Zhen ) (Tib. Dram , nep. Khasa ), one of the two settlement areas of the Sherpa people in China, is located directly on the border with Nepal .
