  • The Gambia Party for Democracy and Progress (GPDP) ( German  Gambian Party for Democracy and Progress ) is a small party in Gambia . The party's motto is: English " In God We Trust " = " We trust in God ".

    history

The GPDP, founded in 2004, is led by Henry Gomez , who also wanted to run for the first time with his party in the 2006 presidential elections . But since he had lived in Hamburg for a while and not in the Gambia for the last five years, the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) had rejected his candidacy under the constitution. Thereupon the GPDP, together with the National Reconciliation Party (NRP), supported the candidates of the United Democratic Party (UDP).
