Gangster Girls is an Austrian documentary from 2008 starring prisoners from the Schwarzau Prison and the Gerasdorf Prison .

action

In the course of a theater project with women and men in a prison, self-disclosure and conflict resolution arise. Shown anonymously through blurred filming, or razor-sharp, with and behind colorful masks. Tina Leisch took the chance to film in a women's prison, with very beautiful pictures that show the Schiach conditions anyway.

"Nothing is as sweet as crime as long as you are not the victim yourself."

- words from an actress

The film has as a forerunner the play Medea , a production by Tina Leisch and Alma Hadžibeganović .
