Ursula Wolschlager
Ursula Wolschlager (born April 18, 1969 , † September 26, 2021 ) was an Austrian film producer , dramaturge and screenwriter .
Life
Ursula Wolschlager grew up in the market town of Oberneukirchen and in Linz. From 1992 to 1996 she studied Slavic Studies, Theater Studies and the subject combination Film | Electronic Media at the University of Vienna . At the Vienna Film Academy , she completed the university course “Film and Humanities” (faculty course with diploma) as an extraordinary student.
She has been in the film business since 1995, initially as a producer or with a focus on organizational activities. From around 2000 she began to write scripts and in 2002 she received the Carl Mayer Script Promotion Prize . From 2004 to 2007 she worked at Lotus Film . In 2008 she founded the film production company Witcraft Szenario OG together with the dramaturge and screenwriter Robert Buchschwenter . Until 2011 she was a member of the project commission of the Austrian Film Institute . At the end of September 2021, she died after a long illness at the age of 52.
