The Garat is a river in France that runs in the Nièvre department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region . It rises in the municipality of Saint-Léger-de-Fougeret , drains in an arc from north to west to south through a sparsely populated area in the Morvan Regional Nature Park, and after 21 kilometers flows into the Guignon as a right tributary in the local area of Moulins-Engilbert .
