Career

In the club

Bocaly has been part of the professional squad of Olympique Marseille since January 2005 . In the 2005/06 season he played his first game in Ligue 1 , so he made his debut on March 5, 2006 against Paris Saint-Germain . This should be the only game for him this season. In 2006/07 he played three games for the southern French. Two of them even in the starting line-up. However, all three games were lost. Bocaly is mainly a member of the reserve team's squad. His current contract runs until June 2012. In order to guarantee him more playing time, he was loaned to the second division club FC Libourne-Saint-Seurin for the 2007/08 season. There he was part of the permanent staff and was able to score his first goal in the professional field. At the end of the season, the club was relegated penultimate. After he was able to collect match practice there, the Olympique officials decided to loan him out a second time for the 2008/09 season. Bocaly stayed in Ligue 2 and from then on wore the jersey of HSC Montpellier . The young player was also a top performer at Montpellier. In the summer of 2009, the loan ended and Bocaly returned to Marseille. But already during the winter break he was finally transferred back to Montpellier . In the second half of the season he managed to qualify for the UEFA Europa League there - by finishing fifth . There, however, the team failed in the third qualifying round at Győri ETO FC and almost rose in the league as fourth in the table. In the following season he played 34 games as a right defender and was thus significantly involved in the surprising win of the French championship . Due to a long-term hip injury, Bocaly was unable to participate in the game until early 2014. His first game after the hip injury was played against Olympique Marseille on matchday 33. His expiring contract was not extended because he could no longer build on his previous services. For the 2014/15 season he moved to the French second division AC Arles-Avignon free of charge .

In the national team

Between 2004 and 2005 he ran twelve times for the U-16 junior team. In the following two years he played 10 games for the U-17. He was able to score his first goal. From 2006 to 2007 Bocaly was a selection player of the U-19 France , with whom he also took part in the U-19 European Championship in Austria and failed in the semifinals to Spain. For this youth selection, he completed eleven games. On March 20, 2008 he was nominated for the first time for the U-21. Shortly afterwards he made his debut against the Czech selection . In a total of 14 missions, he was then mainly used in friendly matches and took part in the qualification for the U-21 European Championship 2011 , but did not make it as third in the table.
