The Gattau is a forest area in the area of ​​the town of Syke in the Lower Saxony district of Diepholz . It belongs to the district Syker Henstedt and lies north of the main road L 322 between the B 51 in the west and the B 6 in the east. It reaches a height of 49 meters.

To the east, the Hachetal and Freidorfer Hachetal nature reserve adjoins and the Hache flows . The Bramstedter Beeke , a tributary of the Finkenbach , has its source between the Gattau forest area and Röllinghausen to the west .
