The Finkenbach is a 9.4 km long, right-hand or eastern tributary of the Hombach in the river system of the Weser . It flows exclusively in the area of the city of Bassum ( Diepholz district , Lower Saxony , Germany ).
course
The source of the Finkenbach is located between Neubruchhausen and the core town of Bassum . From there it flows in a northerly direction through Bramstedt , takes on the Bramstedter Beeke and flows south of the core town of Nordwohlde into the Hombach.
Landscape protection area
The Hombach-Finkenbach- Klosterbach landscape protection area has existed in the area of the communities of Heiligenrode , Fahrenhorst , Ristedt , Nordwohlde , Bramstedt , Stühren , Hollwedel , Klosterseelte and Kirchseelte since 1967 . With an area of approx. 26.80 km² it will serve as a nature observation and recreation area.
