Stühren is a district of the town of Bassum in the Lower Saxony district of Diepholz . About 300 people live in the village on an area of 8.33 km².

Stühren is located in the north-western area of the city of Bassum, five kilometers north of the core town of Bassum. The village of Stühren consists of the settlements Döhren, Strühe and Stühren.

history

From the Bronze Age, 70 of the former “Siebenbergen” barrows can still be seen in the forest ( Stühren burial mound ) and one in a field.

The theologian Friedrich Delekat , a member of the Confessing Church, comes from Stühren. Since the regional reform , which came into force on March 1, 1974, the previously independent municipality of Stühren has been one of 16 localities in the city of Bassum.
