Gebhard Ulrich Brastberger

Gebhard Ulrich Brastberger (born November 15, 1754 in Gussenstadt , † July 28, 1813 in Hall ) was a German educator and philosopher .

Life

Brastberger was a son of the pastor of Gussenstadt Gebhard Brastberger (1699–1754). He received his early education at the Protestant seminars in Württemberg. On October 26, 1772 he was enrolled at the University of Tübingen and accepted into the Tübingen monastery . On December 15, 1772, he received his bachelor's degree and on September 23, 1774, his master's degree in philosophy. He then devoted himself to studying theology , went on a major study trip and finally became a repetiteur at the Tübingen monastery in 1779 . He remained in this position until 1783, when he was offered a position as a deacon in Heidenheim an der Brenz .

Brastberger became a professor at the Blaubeuren seminar in 1797 and was rector of the Stuttgart grammar school illustrious in 1804 . The office of Pedagogical Arch under the Staig was also connected to this office . He died in office in 1813 during a visitation trip.
