The Gelpe or also the Gelpebach or Gelper Bach is a brook that is created by the confluence of the right Dornbach, which rises at Lichtscheid, with the left Huckenbach . The stream flows through the Gelpe Valley and is in the lower reaches of the border waters of the cities of Wuppertal and Remscheid , until it flows into the Morsbach from the right in the Remscheid district of Clemenshammer . The Gelpe is approx. 5.8 kilometers long with a gradient of 2.27%. On average, it supplies the Morsbach with 280 liters of water per second.
