Geneviève Aubry (born March 4, 1928 in La Chaux-de-Fonds ; entitled to live in La Chaux-des-Breuleux and Tavannes since December 1978 ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ).

Career

Aubry was born as the daughter of the secondary school teacher and FDP politician Virgile Moine . The home economics teacher (diploma 1949) completed several journalistic internships in the 1960s and 1970s . From 1984 onwards, Aubry was editor of «L'Atout» and from 1985 as a correspondent for various newspapers. From 1977 to 1980 she was a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern . On November 26, 1979, she was elected to the National Council , in which she was a member of several parliamentary commissions (military, business, foreign policy, science and research) as well as the Interparliamentary Union . On December 3, 1995, she resigned from the National Council.

Aubry politicized on the right wing of the FDP. Born in Northern Jurassic, she was particularly committed to the Jura issue . In 1974 she founded the women's group of the loyal Force démocratique , which she chaired until 1981. She also presided over the Ligue anticommuniste mondiale (1988), the Fédération romande des auditeurs et téléspectateurs and the French-speaking committee of youth without drugs .

Aubry is married with three children and lives in Tavannes .
