Georg Alfred Wittner , also known as GAW (* 1962 in Reutlingen ) is a German actor , musician and freelance photographer who became known nationwide primarily through the TV series TV Kaiser and Ritas Welt .

Life

GAW played various roles in many episodes of the comedy series TV Kaiser , mostly the lonely, shy man in search of a partner in life. His next star role, the butcher Bernie Stemmer in Rita's world , also corresponds to this stereotype, the reserved, shy, slightly clumsy and always somewhat insecure man. As a member of the “Rita's World” team, he was awarded the German Comedy Prize in 2001 for the best series.

Other films followed, including a guest appearance in the 1994 video "Quark" by the punk band Die Ärzte . GAW himself is the singer of the bands The Sexangels and Heute and plays as an instrument both guitar and bass, piano, trumpet, organ and drums. He recently started working as a photographer.

GAW currently lives in Stuttgart.
