Georg Arms (born August 7, 2006 in Berlin ) is a German child actor .

Life

Georg Arms' mother, Irina Arms, is a Berlin-based Russian director, producer and journalist, and his father is a German businessman. Georg Arms grew up bilingual. As a four-year-old Georg was the main actor in his mother's short film , do you know what I wish for? (2012) with actor Martin Wuttke for the first time in front of the camera. The film is based on real events; he tells the experiences of Georg's grandfather during the Second World War .

Georg played the second leading role in Edward Berger's film drama Jack (2014). This film ran in the competition at the Berlinale 2014 and was awarded the Bavarian Film Prize and the German Film Prize in silver. In 2016 he played in Marco Kreuzpaintner's psychological television thriller, Softly Death Sleeps with Matthias Brandt and Manfred Zapatka . A year later followed with the film drama Freiheit by Jan Speckenbach, where he plays a child abandoned by his parents, with actor parents Johanna Wokalek and Hans-Jochen Wagner .

Georg Arms has also been a stage actor since 2017. At the Berlin Schaubühne he plays the pioneer Jascha in Milo Rau's play Lenin . He occasionally works as a child model and can be seen in the music video Die kleine Rakete (2016) by singer Kerstin Ott .

In 2017 he produced his first Lego animation short film as a director, A normal day in school , in which he dealt critically with his elementary school. The film ran out of competition at the Canada Kids Film Festival in Toronto in September 2017.
