Marianne Kreuzer
Marianne Kreuzer (born February 10, 1965 in Kempten (Allgäu) ) is a German sports journalist and television presenter for Bayerischer Rundfunk .
Professional background
Kreuzer studied German and sports in Hamburg and completed a journalistic training at the Axel Springer journalism school there . She then worked as an author for the Italian sports newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport , Sport-Bild and RTL .
In 1990 Marianne Kreuzer started working as a freelancer for Bayerischer Rundfunk. From 1993 to 2005 she moderated the show Blickpunkt Sport on Bavarian television . In 1998 she became editor-in-chief for sports / magazines on Bavarian television and held this position until 2014. During this time she was the first woman to act as a studio presenter for Sportschau live on ARD . a. Alpine skiing at four Olympic Games, two European football championships and numerous live broadcasts. As head of sports at Bayerischer Rundfunk, she expressed a. a. in 2000 that the then 52-year-old sports presenter Waldemar Hartmann was too old to present television, which in turn led to Hartmann criticizing women as superiors.
From 1993 until the last broadcast of the ARD-Mittagsmagazin from Munich on December 29, 2017, she regularly presented the sports block in the ARD-Mittagsmagazin. In addition, until 2016 she occasionally moderated the sports block in the evening show on Bavarian TV. Since it was moved to the weekly Rundschau at 6:30 p.m. on BR television, she is still working there as a sports presenter.
Since March 2017 Marianne Kreuzer also has its own sports-Stammtisch throw- in BR television, she about four times a year from the inn to swallow moderated in Munich and next to Max Schmidt welcomes three guests to discuss issues Sport of current. Kreuzer lives in Kempten. She is the sister of the CSU politician Thomas Kreuzer and the cousin of the soccer player Karl-Heinz Riedle .
