Georg Foucar

Georg Foucar (born March 5, 1870 in Frankfurt am Main ; † November 16, 1945 in Neugrünwald ) was a German manager in the cement industry.

Life

After graduating from the Wöhlerschule in Frankfurt am Main, Foucar studied natural sciences at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In 1889 he became active in the Corps Brunsviga Munich . On May 23, 1890 recipiert , he proved to be a Consenior and Cub Major . 1898 doctorate he in Chemistry for Dr. phil. On January 30, 1899, he became the old master of his corps.

Like many Munich Braunschweig residents, he worked as a plant chemist, plant assistant and plant manager in plants in the German cement industry. After five years abroad, especially England and France, to start up German cement works, he became technical director and board member of the Portland cement works in Elm (Schlüchtern) in 1908 . In 1916 he was appointed technical director and member of the board of the Portland-Cementfabrik Karlstadt am Main AG, whereby he remained on the board of the Portland-Cementfabrik Elm AG. In the First World War he was indispensable in the homeland service.

Foucar was deputy chairman of the Association of German Portland Cement Manufacturers, a member of the German Committee for Reinforced Concrete, the Board of Directors of the Quarry Trade Association , the Labor Court and District Committee in Karlstadt. He was an assessor at the Oberversicherungsamt in Würzburg and a shop steward for the employers at the Reichsversicherungsanstalt for salaried employees . Died at the age of 75, he was buried in the main cemetery (Frankfurt am Main) .
