Georg Friedrich Wilhelm Schaeffler
Georg Friedrich Wilhelm Schaeffler (born October 19, 1964 in Erlangen ) is a German business lawyer and main shareholder of the Schaeffler Group . He is a son of the entrepreneurs Georg Schaeffler and Maria-Elisabeth Schaeffler .
education and profession
After graduating from high school in Herzogenaurach in 1984 , he was a temporary soldier in the Bundeswehr (first lieutenant in the Air Force Reserve). He subsequently occupied by 1986 to 1990, studying business administration at the University of St. Gallen with the licentiate as a business graduate .
From 1990 Georg FW Schaeffler worked in various functions in the Schaeffler Group in Germany and the USA . In 1996, his father Georg Schaeffler , who helped found the company in 1946, died at the age of 79. From 1996 he studied law at the School of Law in Durham , North Carolina , which he graduated in 1999 as Juris Doctor (cum laude) and Master of Laws in the field of international and comparative law. From 2000 to 2006 he worked as a corporate attorney with the law firm Haynes & Boone in Dallas .
In recent years he has become increasingly involved in the Schaeffler Group, in which he holds 80 percent as a partner.

Schaeffler is divorced twice and has four sons. He lives in the USA .
