Georg Gemehl (* around 1750 in Heidelberg ; † October 20, 1807 in Bruchsal ; Catholic) had been a civil servant at the Speyer Monastery from 1777 and, after its dissolution, from 1803 in the Baden state service.

Georg Gemehl was married to Maria Apollonia nee Sommer (* approx. 1758 in Heidelberg; † 23 August 1829), she was the daughter of the valet Johann Kaspar Sommer and Anna nee Stephani. There were five children from this marriage: Maria Anna (* February 24, 1785), Maria Elisabeth (* June 21, 1786), Kaspar (* January 31, 1788 in Bruchsal; † June 4, 1834 ibid), Anna Maria Josepha (* January 8, 1791) and Franz Ignaz (* September 7, 1794).

career

After studying at the University of Heidelberg , which he completed in 1771 with his master's degree, he became a military auditor in 1777 . In 1794 he was promoted to captain and then employed as an assessor at the vice cathedral office in Bruchsal. After the dissolution of the bishopric of Speyer , he was taken over into the Baden state service and was city administrator of the Bruchsal city office from 1803 to 1806 and at the same time city ​​councilor .
