Kaspar Gemehl

Kaspar Johann Gemehl (born January 31, 1788 in Bruchsal ; † June 4, 1834 there ; Catholic) was a lawyer in the Baden state service since 1807 .

Kaspar Gemehl was the son of Georg Gemehl , Oberamtmann in Bruchsal, and Maria Apollonia, born Sommer. He married Margarethe nee Zangrandi (* approx. 1799; † March 17, 1866), daughter of the merchant Johann Baptist Zangrandi and Maria Elisabeth nee Siegel. There were three children from this marriage: Franz Victor Eugen (* December 14, 1816 - September 17, 1817), Maria Apollonia Mathilde (* October 24, 1818) and Franz Berthold (* October 24, 1832).

career

After studying law at the University of Heidelberg , which he graduated in 1806, he passed the examination at the Mannheim court in 1807 and was accepted as a legal candidate at the Justice Department. In October 1807 he was appointed senior court attorney and court procurator in Bruchsal and, due to his weak eyes, was employed as an official assessor at the second Landamt Bruchsal on January 19, 1813 , where he was promoted to bailiff on January 23, 1819 . There he was also promoted to provisional director on April 18, 1822, and to senior bailiff on August 1, 1823. He was finally retired on November 1, 1832 because of his weak eyes.
