Georg Graßl

Georg Graßl called "painter Schorschi" (born May 27, 1926 in Ramsau near Berchtesgaden ; † January 4, 1995 there ) was a German politician ( CSU ).

After an apprenticeship and master's examination in painting, he started his own business in Ramsau near Berchtesgaden. He was a member of the Ramsau municipal council from 1960 to 1984, and from 1972 to 1984 he was 1st mayor. From 1978 to 1986 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament . He was a member of the district council of the district of Berchtesgadener Land and the board of trustees of the Berchtesgadener Landesstiftung (so-called Kehlstein Foundation ). In the state parliament he devoted himself, among other things, to medium-sized business policy . Graßl belonged to the working group Mittelstand (today Mittelstands-Union (MU)). He was the first and so far only member of the state parliament from the area of ​​the former prince provostie Berchtesgaden since it belonged to Bavaria in 1810.
