Georg Liebler
Georg Liebler (born October 9, 1524 in Neckartenzlingen ; † January 30, 1600 in Tübingen ) was professor of philosophy , languages , physics , eloquence and poetry and rector at the University of Tübingen .
Life
1,531 Georg Liebler attended school in Nuertingen , then the trivial school in Tübingen , before settling in 1537 at the city's university was matriculate and a scholarship from Duke Ulrich received. In 1541 he became a bachelor and in 1544 a master's degree. He then studied theology and took part in the Regensburg Religious Discussion in 1546 as a scholarship holder .
From 1547 to 1548 he was pastor in Derendingen . In 1548 he married Maria Crunder, the daughter of a ducal council, but had to give up his pastor because of the Augsburg interim and was appointed professor of Latin and Greek in Tübingen. In 1553 he was appointed to a professorship for physics as the successor to Jakob Degen (Johann Jacob Brucker Schegk, Jakob Scheckius; 1511–1587).
From 1552 to 1556 he was Stiftsephorus in the Protestant monastery . From 1560 to 1592 he was a pedagogue . From 1575 to 1578 he was professor of eloquence and poetry. In the summer semester of 1588 he held the office of rector of the university. In 1594 he gave up all his offices for reasons of age, but lived as a pensioner in the monastery until his death.
