Georg Münzel (born December 5, 1968 in Bochum ) is a German actor .

Life

As a teenager, Georg Münzel sang in the boys' choir of the St. Nikolai Church at Klosterstern in the Hamburg district of Harvestehude , had violin lessons and played in the school orchestra. After graduating from high school, he began to study philosophy, but then decided on an artistic career and attended the Frese drama studio in Hamburg from 1990 to 1993 . Between 1994 and 2000 Münzel had permanent engagements at the Theater Dortmund , the Theater in Heilbronn and the State Theater in Nuremberg . Since then he has been working as a freelancer and has appeared mainly on stages in Hamburg, such as B. at the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater , the Kammerspiele , theThalia Theater or the Altona Theater . Here he played the conductor Daniel Daréus in 2015 in the piece Wie im Himmel based on the film of the same name by the Swedish director Kay Pollak and was able to prove his musical skills.
