Georg Martin Doertenbach

Georg Martin Doertenbach (born May 30, 1822 in Calw ; † February 7, 1891 in Stuttgart ) was a Württemberg banker, entrepreneur and politician.

Life

Georg Martin Doertenbach was the son of Johann Georg Doertenbach . He attended high school in Calw and the polytechnic school in Stuttgart and received a commercial education. Together with his father, he was involved in the founding and further expansion of the Doertenbach banking house in Stuttgart, the Esslingen machine factory, the Esslingen spinning and weaving mill and other joint stock companies. He was a partner in wool manufacturing businesses in Calw and a member of the board of directors of Frankfurter Hypothekenbank.

From 1868 to 1870 he was a member of the customs parliament as a member of the Wuerttemberg 14 constituency ( Nagold , Calw , Böblingen , Neuenbürg ) .
