Autostrada Padana Inferiore
The Autostrada Padana Inferiore is a planned motorway in Italy. One day it will lead from Cremona via Mantua to the Adriatic coast. The main reason for the construction is to shorten the route and travel time of the axis Mont Blanc tunnel ( France ) - Turin - Venice - Trieste (to Slovenia ).
The first section is formed by the Superstrada-Cremona-Mantova, CrM for short , which leads from Cremona to Mantua and is supposed to end at the Mantova junction - south of the A22 Brennero - Modena . The second section leads from the Mantova junction - north to east and runs largely on the existing 4-lane SS 434 . It should end at the newly planned Autostrada Nuova Romea .
