Castelguglielmo is a northeastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1542 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Rovigo in Veneto . The municipality is located about 20.5 kilometers west-southwest of Rovigo on the Canalbianco .

history

Originally the place goes back to the settlement of Villa Manegii . 1146 built the ruler of Ferrara , Guglielmo III. degli Adelardi Marcheselli a castle here, from which the name Castel Guglielmo is derived.
