Bosaro is a municipality with 1455 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Rovigo in the Veneto region in Italy .
It covers an area of 6 km². Districts are Balladore, Bosco del Monaco, Chiaviche Roncagalle, Gagliani, Golene, Gorghetto and Passo. It belongs to the Area Geografica Medio Polesine and is a member of the Associazione dei Comuni Virtuosi and the Associazione Rete Italiana Città Sane - OMS .
The neighboring municipalities are Arquà Polesine , Guarda Veneta , Polesella , Pontecchio Polesine , Rovigo .
history
Both in the Cisalpine Republic and initially in the Kingdom of Lombardo-Veneto , Bosaro was a district of Pontecchio, and it was not until 1845 that it became an independent municipality.
