Ceregnano is a north-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3510 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Rovigo in Veneto . The municipality is located about 6 kilometers east-southeast of Rovigo in the Polesine . The Canalbianco , which flows through the municipality, is a tributary of the Po .

history

Since the Middle Ages, the municipality had been inundated several times by the floods of the Po and the Adige .

In addition to the train station in Ceregnano, there is also a stop in the municipality in the district Lama Polesine ( Lama for short ) on the railway line from Rovigo to Chioggia .
