Georg Moesta (born June 12, 1963 in Boppard ) is a German lawyer and member of the Constitutional Court of Rhineland-Palatinate .

Career

After graduating from the Kurfürst-Salentin-Gymnasium in Andernach in 1982, Georg Moesta studied law at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz . He passed his legal state examinations in 1988 (legal trainee examination with distinction) and 1991 (assessor examination with distinction) in each case at the State Examination Office for Jurists in Rhineland-Palatinate.

He was admitted to the bar in Koblenz in May 1991 and was managing partner of the law firm Dr. Dornbach, Moesta & Partner. Since 2012 he has been managing partner of the law firm Martini · Mogg · Vogt - lawyers, auditors and tax consultants - with offices in Koblenz, Bonn and Mainz, where he is a managing partner. Moesta advises on corporate law, asset succession and M&A mandates. He is a specialist lawyer for inheritance law and a certified executor (AGT).

Moesta is u. a. Deputy Chairman of the Advisory Board of Gerolsteiner Brunnen GmbH & Co. KG . He is next to u. a. Member of the boards of directors of Sparkasse Koblenz and Kreissparkasse Mayen .

The State Parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate elected him on January 31, 2019, with effect from February 7, 2019, as a member of the Constitutional Court of Rhineland-Palatinate for six years. Political functions

Georg Moesta got involved in local politics at an early stage: From 1984 to 2017, Moesta was a member of the local council in his home town of Plaidt . Since 1989 he has been a member of the Mayen-Koblenz district council . Georg Moesta has been chairman of the CDU district parliamentary group in the Mayen-Koblenz district since 1994 . In the CDU acted u. a. from 1989 to 2017 as chairman of the CDU Pellenz . From 2008 to 2012 he was a member of the state board of the CDU Rhineland-Palatinate .

Private

Georg Moesta lives in Plaidt and is with Anette Moesta, former mayor. D., married. Both have a daughter (born 2003) and a son (born 2010).

Awards

Moesta is the holder of the Johann Christian Eberle Medal for services to the savings bank system (2004). In 2010 he was awarded the Freiherr vom Stein plaque (the highest award for commitment to community politics in Rhineland-Palatinate).
