Georg Wilhelm Freiherr Wolff von Gudenberg († July 28, 1726 in Münster ) was provost of the cathedral in the duchy of Münster and canon in Speyer and Osnabrück .

Life

Origin and family

Georg Wilhelm Wolff von Gudenberg grew up as the son of Alhard Christian Wolff von Gudenberg zu Itter and Ursula Elisabeth Maria von Knoblauch zu Hatzbach in the ancient Hessian noble family Wolff von Gudenberg .

Career and work

Georg Wilhelm studied at the Collegium Germanicum in Rome from 1702 to 1703. In Speyer in 1702 he received a Dompräbende , which he renounced in the same year and was tested in Osnabrück . Here he was emancipated on October 31, 1703. Three years later he received a prebend in Münster and was sworn up here . His election as Provost fell on December 9, 1722. The following year he became President of the Munster Court Chamber . Georg Wilhelm was owned by the Archdeaconate Billerbeck and the Obedienzen Ladbergen and Gassel minor. He remained in office until his death. His successor was Jobst Matthias von Twickel .
