Georg Wilke

Georg Wilke (born December 5, 1899 in Hameln ; † March 3, 1973 ibid) was a German printer, politician, city director and member of the Hanover provincial council.

Life

Georg Wilke was born in Hameln at the end of the 19th century in the late founding period of the German Empire . After graduating from school, he worked temporarily as a book printer.

In 1933, the year the National Socialists seized power , Wilke was elected a member of the Hanover Provincial Parliament.

Wilke was the head of the housing and refugee office in the Lower Saxony district town of Hameln . From December 1, 1945 he was provisional and from April 1, 1946 to December 31, 1964 full-time senior city director .

Also in 1964 Georg Wilke was awarded the Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Federal Republic of Germany.
