Georg von Buch

Georg Otto Wedige von Buch (born October 11, 1856 in Stolpe an der Oder near Angermünde , † March 12, 1924 in Berlin ) was a German administrative officer, manor owner and member of parliament.

Life

Georg von Buch was born as the son of the manor owner and parliamentarian Alexander von Buch . He studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin . In Heidelberg he became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia in 1881 . After graduating, he entered the Prussian civil service. From 1895 to 1917, he was like his father district administrator of the district Angermünde . He was co-owner of the Carmzow manors in the Prenzlau district and Wilmersdorf in the Angermünde district. He participated in the First World War as a soldier.

From a by-election on July 12, 1905 to 1918, Buch was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives for the constituency of Potsdam 3 (Prenzlau, Angermünde) and belonged to the conservative party . He was cathedral capitular of the Brandenburg cathedral monastery and curator of the knight academy and most recently lived in Berlin .

The Prussian administrative officer and parliamentarian Leopold von Buch was his brother.
