George of Stubai
Georg von Stubai (* in Fulpmes ; † December 17, 1443 in Brixen ), also known as Georg von Brixen , was Prince-Bishop of the Diocese of Brixen .
He was born in Fulpmes in the Stubai Valley in the district of Medraz , Austria as the child of a priest. He became a priest and was Prince-Bishop of Brixen from 1437 to 1443. Georg supported the antipope Felix V , who had been elected by the Council of Constance . In the same century, the bishops Georg Golser and Nikolaus von Kues worked in Brixen .
