George Suri (born July 16, 1982 in Honiara , Solomon Islands ) is a former Solomon soccer player . He was a defender and played for New Zealand first division club Auckland City FC .

Club career

Before joining Auckland City FC in 2007, he was with New Zealand clubs East Coast Bays and Waitakere United . Waitakere United was able to win the OFC Champions League in the decisive game against the Fijian champions Ba FC in April 2007 , although Suri and his teammate Craig Wylie were sent off after the second yellow card in the 51st minute . Also in the 2008 season, the strong Auckland defender was a candidate for a warning or a field reference . But his team was able to win this game against Otago United 1-0 thanks to their own penalty . Contrary to FIFA's information, Suri seems to have been loaned to his former team, the East Coast Bays, during the 2008 season, where he spikily scored decisive goals against Waitakere United, making the East Coast Bays important games and then the Chatham Cup .

National team career

He played his first game for the Solomonic national football team in 2002 against New Zealand .
