George William Ahr
George William Ahr (born June 23, 1904 in Newark , New Jersey , USA , † May 5, 1993 ) was an American clergyman and bishop of Trenton .
Life
George William Ahr received on 29 July 1928, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On January 28, 1950, Pope Pius XII appointed him . to the Bishop of Trenton. The Archbishop of Newark , Thomas Joseph Walsh , ordained him episcopal on March 20 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Paterson , Thomas Aloysius Boland , and the Bishop of Camden , Bartholomew Joseph Eustace .
On June 23, 1979, Pope John Paul II accepted George William Ahr's resignation due to reasons of age.
