Georges Pierre Soubrier

Georges Pierre Soubrier PSS (born November 20, 1933 in Thérondels , France ) is a French religious and Roman Catholic former bishop of Nantes .

Life

Georges Pierre Soubrier joined the Congregation of the Sulpician at and received on 29 June 1960, the priestly ordination .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Paris and titular bishop of Acholla on June 25, 1988 . The Archbishop of Paris , Jean-Marie Cardinal Lustiger , donated him episcopal ordination on October 14 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Émile Marcus PSS, Bishop of Nantes, and Roger Joseph Bourrat , Bishop of Rodez-Vabres .

On October 10, 1996, he was appointed Bishop of Nantes. On July 8, 2009, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
