Georgia Lind (born November 20, 1905 in Chemnitz , † December 10, 1984 in Berlin ; actually Brunhilde Hilscher or Liddy Brunhilde Uhlig ) was a German actress .

Life

It came to Berlin in the 1920s via provincial theaters. As an actress of great young women, she appeared in front of the camera several times from 1928. In Ja, ja, die Frau'n are my weak side , she was the partner of Hans Albers , in How do I get rich and happy? by Hugo Schrader .

Since the mid-30s she concentrated more on theater work. After the end of the Second World War , she mainly worked as a radio play speaker . In the RIAS radio series Es happened in Berlin , she spoke as the secretary “Miss Müller” for over 15 years. Georgia Lind was briefly married in 1942 and then again from 1954 to the actor Rudolf Platte , who died eight days after her death. The childless couple bequeathed their joint fortune of around two million marks to the Hermann Gmeiner Fund to promote the SOS Children's Villages .

She rests next to her husband in the Wilmersdorf cemetery in Berlin.
