Countess Georgina von Wilczek (Georgina Norberta Johanna Franziska Antonie Marie Raphaela, called Gina ; born October 24, 1921 in Graz , † October 18, 1989 in Grabs ) was Princess von und zu Liechtenstein.

She was the daughter of Count Ferdinand von Wilczek and Countess Norbertine Kinsky von Wchinitz and Tettau and was born in Graz, Austria. Her great-grandfather was Count Johann Nepomuk von Wilczek (1837–1922), an Austrian polar explorer and art patron .

In 1942 she became engaged to Prince Franz Josef II. On March 5, 1943, she was received at the Schaan train station , two days later, on March 7, the wedding of Bishop Christian Caminada of Chur took place, it was the first Liechtenstein wedding History that took place on the territory of today's principality.

During the Second World War , the princess was very committed to forced laborers and prisoners of war who had fled and founded the Liechtenstein Red Cross on June 22, 1945 , of which she was president from 1945 to 1984, before handing this function over to her daughter-in-law.

The couple had five children together:

Her son Hans Adam married Marie Kinsky von Wchinitz and Tettau , a relative of her on her mother's side.

Princess Georgina died on October 18, 1989 in the hospital in Grabs in Switzerland after a long illness from cancer, not even a month before her husband.

Franz Josef II and his wife Gina were both members of the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem with the rank of Grand Cross Knight and Grand Cross Lady.

Princess Gina and Prince Franz Josef II were married for 46 years, then Princess Gina died on October 18, 1989. Princess Gina once said: "My husband and I have become one, everyone believes that they can no longer be without the other" . She was proved right: only 26 days later, on November 13, 1989, Prince Franz Josef II also died in the hospital in Grabs. Prince Franz Josef II and Princess Gina found their final resting place in the Princely Crypt, completed in 1960, at the Catholic parish church of St. Florin in Vaduz . The graves are only open to the public once a year on All Saints Day, on November 1st of each year (from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
