Gerald Messlender (born October 1, 1961 in Baden ; † June 20, 2019 in Guntramsdorf ) was an Austrian football player in the position of defender .

Career

He began his professional career at Admira / Wacker Vienna . In addition to this club, he played in the top division for FC Swarovski Tirol and in the second division at VfB Mödling . Finish he let his career at SC Austria Lustenau and VSE St. Pölten in the second division, having previously also at the VfB Admira Wacker Mödling was. He played his last game on June 3, 1997 for VSE St. Pölten against SV Braunau . He took part in the Soccer World Cup in Spain in 1982 , but was not used in any game.
