Gerard Sweetman

Gerard Sweetman ( Irish Gearóid Suatman , born June 10, 1908 in Dublin , † January 28, 1970 ) was an Irish politician and member of the Fine Gael .

From 1943 to 1948, the former lawyer was a member of the Seanad Éireann , but resigned from office in February to move to the Dáil Éireann . Sweetman remained Teachta Dála until his death . From June 2, 1954 to March 20, 1957 he held the office of finance minister in the coalition government of Taoiseach Costello .
