Gerard Battersby
Gerard William Battersby (born May 15, 1960 in Detroit , USA ) is an American clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Detroit .
Life
Gerard Battersby received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Detroit on May 30, 1998 .
Pope Francis appointed him titular bishop of Eguga and auxiliary bishop in Detroit on November 23, 2016 . The Archbishop of Detroit, Allen Vigneron , ordained him episcopal on January 25 of the following year . Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio to Turkey, Archbishop Paul Fitzpatrick Russell , and the Bishop of Winona , John Michael Quinn .
