Gerardo Acosta , full name Gerardo Daniel Acosta Mateuci , (born February 22, 1984 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .
Career
societies
The 1.78 meter tall defensive player Acosta was a member of the Club Sportivo Cerrito squad from 2005 to mid-2007 . During this period he was used there across seasons in 55 games of the Primera División and scored one goal. A year and a half followed in ranks of Nacional Montevideo . In the 2007/08 season he ran in 13 first division games with the “Bolsos”. He did not score a hit. In early 2009, the first division club Bella Vista signed him , for whom he completed ten league matches (no goal). In August 2009 he moved to Centro Atlético Fénix . One goal and 17 premier league appearances are on his books for the Montevideans. From July 2010, Acosta continued his career at CA San Martín de San Juan . With the Argentines, he played 15 games in the Primera B Nacional and scored once in the opposing goal. In early July 2011, he joined Patronato and was used in 19 league encounters (one goal) and one game (no goal) of the Copa Argentina . In October 2012 he returned to Uruguay and played for the Racing Club de Montevideo . After only two first division appearances (no goal), a new career station will be held at Club Sportivo Cerrito from March 2013. In mid-July 2013 he began an engagement at Club Sportivo Belgrano . For the club based in the Argentine city of San Francisco , he completed three games (no goal) in the Primera B Nacional. In mid-February 2014, he moved to Villa Española . In the second division seasons 2014/15 and 2015/16 the statistics show him 25 and 5 games respectively in the Segunda División . In the former season he scored two goals. Club Sportivo Cerrito has been his employer again since October 2016. In the 2016 season he played five games in the Segunda División with the "Auriverdes" (German: yellow-green). He did not succeed in scoring. During the 2017 season he has so far (as of August 9, 2017) played 14 times (no goal) in the league.
National team
Acosta belonged to the U-17 team of Uruguay , trained by Juan Jacinto Rodríguez , who took part in the U-17 South American Championship in Peru in 2001 and finished in 6th place.
