Career

Gerd Knebel as singer in "Die groben Junggesellen"

Knebel was a founding member and singer of the Hessian cult band Flatsch! until their dissolution in 1988. With Henni Nachtsheim he forms the comedian duo Badesalz.

From 2005 to 2007 Knebel could be heard and seen on stage together with Olaf Mill (Ex-Flatsch!), Seppl Niemeier (Ex-Flatsch! And -Velvet Universe) as well as Willy Wagner and Peter Runcl as Die Groben Junggesellen .

In April 2006 Knebel started the solo program What is it all about? In addition, he paid tribute to the late cabaret artist Matthias Beltz , with whom he was friends, in a joint program . Beltz's texts were re-performed in the piece. Since 2013 Knebel has been on the road again solo with the Wörld of Drecksäck program .

In 2007 and 2008 Knebel formed the core of the German rock band Angst vor Clowns , along with guitarist Aren Emirze ( Harmful , Mad Cow ) , with Knebel as a lyricist and singer. In February 2010 the first CD of a new project with Olaf Mill called Nette Rabenväter was released . The project played as a mainly acoustic duo with lyrics in the style (and partly the repertoire) of the rough bachelors, but said goodbye to the stage in 2014.

In 2011 Gerd Knebel founded the metal band GiftDwarf with Olaf Mill and Ex- Rebellion members Uwe Lulis and Gerd Lücking, this time an English-speaking singer , and a CD of the same name was released.
