Gerhard "Gerd" Sackritz (born September 29, 1942 ) is a former soccer player from the GDR .

Athletic career

Sackritz played from 1961 to 1971 in the back team of SC Empor Rostock and FC Hansa Rostock . During this time he played a total of 199 Oberliga , 26 FDGB Cup and six European Cup games. He also played three international matches with the GDR junior national team from 1963 to 1964 .

The right-back went to the Rostockers in the 1961/62 season , who had finished the previous season with 6th place in the league and made it to the final of the FDGB Cup (2: 3 against Motor Jena ). In his first league season he came on a total of two missions, where he succeeded the first of his total of eleven league goals. From the following season, Sackritz had a regular place in the team. In the seasons 1963/64 and 1965/66 he played all 26 games.

Sackritz came to Rostock when the so-called silver era began for the people of the Baltic Sea. During his time in Rostock, the team was runner-up four times and was again in the cup final in 1967 (0-3 against Motor Zwickau , without Sackritz).

In the Fairs Cup 1968/69 sack Ritz made his international debut. He was on the starting line-up for the first-round second leg against OGC Nice . Rostock lost 2-1 in Nice, but had qualified for the second round with a 3-0 first leg win. In the second round, Sackritz played both games against Fiorentina and was eliminated with Hansa. A year later in the trade fair cup 1969/70 he played the first round second leg again, this time against Panionios Athens and also reached the next round. Here he was on the field in both games against Inter Milan . In the first leg, Sackritz scored the 2-1 winning goal in the 90th minute.

After ten years in the league, Sackritz moved two classes lower to BSG Schiffahrt / Hafen Rostock in 1971 . With her he achieved promotion to the GDR league in 1972 . For Schiffahrt / Hafen he played until 1976, in between for BSG Aufbau Ribnitz in the first half of the 1974/75 season in the third-class district league .
