Gerhard Böhm (politician, 1920)

Gerhard Böhm (born November 24, 1920 in Rödlitz , Saxony , † November 20, 1993 in Berlin ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Gerhard Böhm attended a grammar school , which he graduated with the Abitur . He studied at the Universities of Dresden and Vienna and eventually became a qualified meteorologist . After the Second World War he trained as a teacher and became rector . In 1951 he joined the SPD. In the Berlin election in 1963 , Böhm was elected to the District Assembly (BVV) in the Neukölln district. In the next election in 1967 he was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives. In June 1971 BVV Neukölln elected him to succeed Erich Frister as district councilor for public education, and Manfred Twehle was his successor in parliament . In 1981, Böhm left office.
